Main Composition and Content
The vaccine contains recombinant fowlpox virus expressing gB gene of infectious laryngotracheitis virus. The content of the virus is more than 104.0 PFU/dose.
Description
Light yellow loose mass, easy to detach from the vial wall, dissolves rapidly into pink liquid after addition of diluent.
Functions and Uses
It is used to prevent infectious laryngotracheitis and fowlpox of chickens. The duration of immunity is 5 months.
Usage and Dosage
Dilute with normal saline according to the label dose. Subcutaneously puncture chicks over 21 days of age in the underside of the wings avoiding blood vessels. 3-4 days after inoculation, slight redness, swelling, and occasional scab, may develop at the puncture site. And vaccinated chicks. return to normal after 14 days.
Adverse Reactions
Generally, no visible adverse reactions occur
Precautions
- 1.Inoculate healthy chickens only. Don’t use in emaciated chickens or those have been exposed to Fowlpox virus, otherwise the immune effect may be negatively affected.
- 2.Careful examination should be performed before use. In presence of broken vaccine vial, lack of vial label, or impurities, the vaccine can not be used.
- 3.The diluted vaccine should be kept in a cold and dark place and used up within 4 hours.
- 4.Used vaccine vials and vaccination instrument should be sterilized.
