The vaccine contains attenuated avian pox virus (quail—adapted strain)(CVCC AV 1003).
The content of avian pox virus (quail—adapted strain)(CVCC AV 1003) ≥103.0 EID50/dose.

Functions and Uses
For the prevention of avian pox in chickens. The duration of immunity is 5 months for adult chickens, and 2 months for newborn chicks.
Usage and Dosage
Puncture subcutaneously in the underside of the wing avoiding blood vessels. Dilute with normal saline according to the labeled dose. Dip the diluted vaccine with a vaccination needle. Vaccinate chicks at 20 to 30 days of age with one dose; Vaccinate chickens at 30 days of age or older with two doses; Vaccinate chicks at 6-20 days of age with one dose of vaccine, half the dose. There will be slight redness, swelling and scab at the site of inoculation at Days 3-4 after inoculation. The scab falls off at Days 14-21. The breeder replacements may be revaccinated 60 days after vaccinated as chicks.
Adverse Reactions
Generally, no visible adverse reactions occur
Precautions
- 1. After diluted, the vaccine should be placed in a cool and dark place and used up within 4 hours.
- 2. During vaccination, topical disinfection should be conducted.
- 3. Hazardless processing should be conducted for used vaccine bottles, instruments and remaining vaccines.
- 4. Examine the chickens vaccinated one by one 7 days after vaccination, and those without reaction at the site of inoculation should be revaccinated.
